What is the Microsoft Adapter Multiplexor Protocol? Microsoft Adapter Multiplexor Protocol is a special set of configurations that comes into play when a user combines two different connections. Actually, it is a kernel mode driver that is used for Network Interface Bonding.

If your PC has only one adapter connected, the Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Protocol should be disabled. And it is enabled automatically when you are teaming multiple network adapters on your PC.

In the Common hardware types list, click Network adapters, and then click Next. In the Manufacturers list box, click Microsoft. In the Network Adapter list box, click Microsoft Loopback Adapter, and then click Next. Click Next to start installing the drivers for your hardware.
