Start week 13 of "They Sit".
As Week 13 begins, fantasy owners are setting up their rosters to finish out the final weeks of the season in preparation for the playoffs where the fantasy champions will be crowned. For anyone competing for a playoff spot, the last few weeks are critical for your team to win the remaining regular season games to secure a playoff spot. Here is my suggestionstart / sit down13th week
Mike White
Jets @ Vikings | Sunday at 1:00 PM ET
ESPN starting percentage: 1.7 percent
White was named the starting quarterback following the Jets' Week 11 loss to the Patriots. As the starting quarterback in Week 12, White completed 22/28 passes for 315 yards and three touchdowns in the Jets' 7-4 win over the Bears. White will remain the starting quarterback against the Vikings for now and I expect him to do well against a Vikings defense that has allowed the guard to average 21.3 points, become a solid QB2 in Week 13.
Gino Smith
Seahawks @ Rams | Sunday 4:05 PM ET
ESPN rookie percentage: 50.8 percent
In Week 12, the Rams' defense allowed Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes to throw 27 touchdowns for 320 yards and one touchdown. We learned Tuesday afternoon that star defensive end Aaron Donald suffered a high ankle sprain during the game. If Donald misses Week 13 against the Sonics, it would be a huge blow to the team's defense, potentially allowing the Sonics offense to counter secondaries without a ton of pass rush. Miracle. Smith will be ready for the Super Bowl after throwing for 328 yards and 2 touchdowns on 22 passes in Seattle's tight overtime game against the defending champion Raiders in Week 12. I expect Smith to be a solid guard in this week's fantasy league against Los Angeles.
Ezekiel Elliott
Colts @ Cowboys | Sunday 8:20 PM ET
ESPN starters: 49.8 percent
The Giants-Cowboys game on Thanksgiving Day set the record for the most-watched regular season game to date, drawing 42 million viewers on Fox. On Thanksgiving, Elliott had 16 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' win over the Giants. I expect Elliott to again do relatively well against a Colts defense that is allowing 15.1 points per game to opposing rushers. The Colts defense hasn't played its best football, allowing running backs to score in double-digit fantasy numbers, and I expect Elliott to easily be a solid RB2 in this game.
Rachel White
Saints @ Pirates | Monday 8:15 PM ET
ESPN rookie percentage: 37.3 percent
The rookie running back took over the backfield after Leonard Fournette injured his hip a few weeks ago. In a surprising loss to the Browns in Week 12, White led the backfield in rushing and rushed for 64 yards on 14 carries, unfortunately missing a touchdown. I'm more optimistic about him this week as he looks to bounce back from a poor game, along with the rest of the offense, with receiver Chris Godwin posting WR1 numbers. I expect White to be a high-end RB3 and potentially a low-end RB2 against New Orleans in Week 13.
george pickens
Steelers @ Falcons | Sunday at 1:00 PM ET
ESPN rookie percentage: 19.6 percent
After hearing that Steelers running back Najee Harris suffered an abdominal injury in Monday night's loss to the Colts, I believe the Steelers offense will throw more against the weak Falcons defense. Pickens has been scoring consistently lately and is expected to break out the game. This could be the week Pickens steps up and takes advantage of the opportunity, facing a Falcons defense that allows 24.0 points per game to opposing wide receivers, potentially in this great matchup. Mid to low WR1.
Chris Olaf
Saints @ Pirates | Monday 8:15 PM ET
ESPN rookie percentage: 56.2 percent
Olaf is the most consistent receiver in the Saints offense so far this season, leading the receiver room with 92 goals. I don't expect that to change this week, as he continues to get a fair amount of targets against Tampa Bay's decrepit defense. Olaf had five catches for 62 yards in the Saints' loss to the 49ers, which was unfortunate for the rookie, as he was the breakout star of the offense. Olaf will return to form in Week 13 against Tampa Bay's wide receiver defense averaging 19.3 points per game, allowing him to be a solid WR2 as usual.
Gerald Everett
Chargers @ Raiders | Sunday 4:25 PM ET
ESPN rookie percentage: 35.1 percent
Honestly, I think Everett will put up better numbers than Week 12 because the matchup against the Cardinals is one of the best a fantasy owner could ask for, but I attribute that to running back Justin Herbert missing some reads on his tight end and continuing to pass to running back Austin Ekeler on check. In Week 13 against the Raiders, I fully expect Everett to get a ton of targets against a bad defense, averaging 7.7 points per game against opposing tight ends, which is what got him into Week 13. Become a trusted TE2.
feed Moreau
Chargers @ Raiders | Sunday 4:25 PM ET
ESPN rookie percentage: 25.6 percent
Morrow has been a touchdown monster lately as it was the 2ndNDThree touchdowns. Morrow was a key part of the Raiders offense, a constant target with at least 3 catches per game. I expect that trend to continue, as he allowed an average of 7.6 points to opposing tight ends against the Chargers' defense, making Morrow a solid TE2 against Los Angeles in Week 13.
Joe Burrow
Chiefs @ Bengals | Sunday 4:25 PM ET
ESPN starters: 73.7 percent
Burrow faces a tough matchup as the Chiefs defense has been holding the offense in crunch time lately. Against one of the league's weakest defenses, Burrow only threw for 270 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries, so I don't see him doing much against the Chiefs defense. My suggestion is for Barrow to play Kansas City in week 13.
Alvin Kamara
Saints @ Pirates | Monday 8:15 PM ET
ESPN rookie shooting percentage: 88.1 percent
Kamara wasn't getting the touches we're used to, so his volume dropped significantly as a result. In Week 12, he had just seven touches for 13 yards and was officially a loss for fantasy owners. In another tough matchup against a Tampa Bay defense that has allowed opposing runners to average 13.4 points per game, my recommendation is to play Kamara in Week 13.
Sidi Lamb
Colts @ Cowboys | Sunday 8:20 PM ET
ESPN rookie percentage: 93.9 percent
Lamb was strong against the Giants on Thanksgiving, putting up double figures for a fantastic owner in Week 12, but struggled in a poor game against the Colts' defense. The Cowboys offense seems to revolve around the run latelyEzekiel Elliottand Tony Pollard for one of the best running backs in the league. The Colts defense is allowing an average of 13.8 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, which is among the most fantasy points at the position. I don't like this matchup against one of the best pass defenses in the league, and as a result, I'd recommend playing Lamb in Week 13.
Mark Andrews
Wild Horses @ Ravens | Sundays at 1:00 PM ET
ESPN starters: 94.9 percent
Andrews' injury reports have come back and forth over the past few weeks, and as a result, Fantasy owners have been hesitant to start him. He had four catches for 50 yards in the Ravens' 28-27 loss to the Jaguars, far below the star tight end's expectations. The Broncos defense is allowing 5.5 points per game to opposing tight ends, and my recommendation is to play Andrews in Week 13.
Lawrence Eckner
Lawrence is a Green Bay Packers fan. He is currently a graduate student at William Paterson University for a master's degree in financial planning. His hobbies include fantasy football, weightlifting, collecting Yu-Gi-Oh trading cards, and playing Madden. He specializes in dynasty fantasy football, winning two championships in the last five years. He is also a college football fan and likes to watch Buckeyes games on Saturdays while drinking pumpkin flavored coffee. As a fantasy football player, he is always looking to develop his game, and one of his goals is to help other players do the same.

Start or sit in Week 13? It remains to be seen whether being left off the injury report leads to more opportunities for Swift, but until then he remains an RB3 with flex upside in leagues going forward. He is still worth a start this week given his advantage in the passing game over his backfield teammate in Williams.
Should I start Seattle defense Week 13? ›Seattle Seahawks (at LAR)
The Seahawks would normally be a defense to avoid given that they're allowing the fifth-most points per game and third-most yards per game in the NFL, but this matchup against the depleted Rams is too good to pass up.
Fields looks ready to play. Non-throwing shoulder AC joint injuries don't show any negative performance impact in our data. Look for him to be a little less aggressive about taking hits as a runner, but this injury wouldn't prevent us from starting him in Week 13.

Another word for a 1-tech is a “shade”. It means the same thing, it just indicates that there is a player shading over the center. A 1-tech is a larger player who can withstand a double team from the center and the guard.

For those keeping score at home, Fields has more multi-touchdown passing games than Tom Brady. Not that this is a contest between Fields and any specific quarterback, but there's no question I'd drop Brady for Fields.

What round should I start drafting defense? ›What Round Should I Draft a Defense in Fantasy Football. First and foremost: Don't worry about defense until the back half of the draft. Filling out your QB/RBs/WRs/TE spots, and depth for those positions is much more important than having the best fantasy defense.
Which defense to start in Week 14 fantasy football? ›Tier 1 Defenses - Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 14
The Cowboys and Eagles have been two of the best fantasy defenses all year long, and you have no issues running them out there for these games.
As I mentioned, we're looking to draft defenses (ideally and most typically only in the final round) with high win totals that performed well last year in fantasy points, EPA/play, and point differential. Since most defenses will (and should) be dropped for a streamer at some point, early-season matchups are critical.
